I stumbled across this piece last week on mishmoshmill’s shop on etsy. It’s the closest I’ve seen to the pieces I’m working on for my shop, combining felting, embroidery and beading. I am such a big fan of these pieces
Using new photos from the D.C. trip this weekend. I’m in a funky tree phase obviously. Hopefully I can work on a series using a different focus this weekend. I got really inspired by some exhibits we saw at the National Gallery. We’ll see what comes of that…. 🙂
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a loverly holiday weekend! I don’t know about the rest of you, but I soooo miss Spring Break! I did get a little weekend away to D.C. for Hubby’s birthday, which was wonderful, but it definitely was not long enough!
Anyway, it’s back to business around here! Satin Taffy and I set some goals beginning March 1st. Here are the things we are to have complete by the end of this month:
Samples of products
Spreadsheet for pricing
Basic Etsy set up (banner, avatar)
Cost for shipping/packaging
Here are the goals we set for next month:
Inventory complete with backstock to cover a few weeks of sales.
I still have a few things to wrap up this weekend in terms of our goals for this month. Hopefully I’ll be able to have a very crafty weekend! It’s hard to find time during the work week, isn’t it? I try to sketch, crochet, or work on the computer on the train, but I’m always wishing I could squeeze in more. When do you squeeze in crafting time?
Ollie & Junebug: Look at what I’m getting… March 19, 2008
I’m so very excited! I ordered some lovely Ann Butler fabrics from Fabric Shoppe on Etsy the other day. She’s already shipped them, so I’m hoping they arrive today or tomorrow. Is there anything better than getting new crafty materials?? I’m hoping I’ll be able to make some coordinated pillow sets using these fabrics and some solids. Does everyone likey?

So, here are some of the digital pieces I created using my photography this weekend. It’s really fun to manipulate photographs this way. I’m going to have to dig into my ridiculously large amount of photos and pull out the best ones to make brushes in Photoshop with. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!!
